General Access
Entry via Lygon Street: Tickets can be purchased at the main box office which is located on the ground floor near the Lygon Street entrance to Lygon Court. The ticket seller will direct you to the most convenient entry for your cinema.
Entry via Drummond Street or the 333 Drummond Street carpark: For Cinemas 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 take the Safeways elevator to the first floor and follow the directional signs to the main Nova foyer where you can purchase tickets without having to go downstairs to the street -level box office. For cinemas 4 and 5, it is easiest to take the Drummond Street elevator located on the lower parking level (beside the exit) to the ground floor, and come to the ground floor ticket box near Lygon Street.
Toilet
Cinema Nova has its disabled toilet in the toilet block between cinemas 9 and 10.
There is another toilet in the toilet block on the ground floor level of Lygon Court, adjacent to the Drummond Street elevator.
The Cinemas
Note that all cinemas are being upgraded in the current program of works.
Cinema One (Upper level)
There is a slight ramp from the foyer to a wide, level transverse aisle about one third of the way from the screen to the rear.
Cinema Two (Upper level)
Wheelchairs enter through the main entrance of the cinema. There are two wheelchair bays with companion seats beside them.
Cinema Three (Upper level)
Access is via a set of 8 stairs. There is an electric chair lift, which lifts patrons and their chairs to the cinema level.
Cinema Four (Lower level)
Access is via a slight ramp, the wheelchair bay is near the back of the cinema.
Cinema Five (Lower level)
There is a wheelchair bay near the back of the cinema, access is via a dedicated rear entrance.
Cinema Six (Upper level)
Wheelchair bay is at the front of the cinema. If you let us know in advance (9347 2573 Mon-Fri 10-5), we would prefer to move the film to another cinema for you.
Cinema Seven (Upper level)
Wheelchair bay is at the front of the cinema. If you let us know in advance (9347 2573 Mon-Fri 10-5), we would prefer to move the film to another cinema for you.
Cinema Eight (Upper level)
There is a slight entrance ramp to a position for wheelchair 4 rows back from the screen.
Cinema Nine (Upper level)
Wheelchairs enter through the main entrance of the cinema. A wheelchair bay is near the back of the cinema.
Cinema Ten (Upper level)
Wheelchairs enter through the main entrance of the cinema. There are two wheelchair bays with companion seating beside them.
Cinema Eleven (Upper level)
