Hounds of Love
Set in Perth in 1987, the film follows Evelyn and John White, who seem like an ordinary couple… but they are set in a routine that results in the bloody and horrific murders of teen girls. Unlucky Vicki Maloney finds herself in the sights of the Whites when she sneaks away from her suburban home to go to a party, and as one deception leads to another she finds herself captive in the Whites’ home. John appears to have special interest in this particular victim, and as Vicki learns more about her captors she realises Evelyn may not be the willing accomplice she appears.
Starring Emma Booth, Ashleigh Cummings, Susie Porter, and an unrecognisable Stephen Curry playing completely against type as the terrifying John, HOUNDS OF LOVE heralds a new voice in Australian genre cinema.
