Maud discovers an advertisement for a housekeeper placed by reclusive and reticent fisherman Everett (Ethan Hawke) and responds. With completely contrasting personalities, the odd pairing of Maud and Everett suddenly clicks, and given the freedom to finally express herself Maud begins to paint. And even more suddenly, she becomes famous for it.
MAUDIE is a joyful story of a woman asserting herself and her talents, and the power of creativity to uplift souls and create happiness in environments where it was long barren.
