To book a group or fundraising event, please read the below information and fill in the attached group booking form and fax or email back to us. Bookings will not be confirmed until Cinema Nova has received a signed copy of the attached agreement.
Tips when planning your fundraiser:
•Cinema Nova suggests you choose a film that is only one or two weeks in release. Any film in its 3rd, 4th or 5th week of release is no longer considered a “hot ticket” and you may have difficulties selling tickets.
•You need to give yourself enough time to sell tickets. Cinema Nova suggests 2-3 weeks.
•You may only select a film that is currently or will be screening at Cinema Nova.

Fundraisers & Groups
20 to 50 = $12.00 per ticket
20 to 50 3D= $13.50 per ticket
51 to 100 = $11 per ticket
51 to 100 3D = $13.50 per ticket
101 - 150 = $10 per ticket
100+ 3D = $11.50 per ticket
151+ = $9.50 per ticket
NOTE: regular prices are $16.50 ($12.00 concession)
Student Groups
$9 per student and for every 20 students, one teacher is free of charge.
Student groups (20 or more) 3D - $10.50

If required, tickets are available to pick up from Cinema Nova two days after your booking has been confirmed. Information for the tickets is taken from the group booking form, so be sure to provide us with accurate information. Under no circumstances should you print your own tickets.

Cinema Nova’s screening week begins on Thursday and runs through to the following Wednesday, and new weekly session times are released every Tuesday. For this reason we are unable to give you an exact screening time for your film. We ask you to nominate a 7pm-ish or 9pm-ish session on the booking form and you must allow for half an hour either side of the approximate starting time. i.e If you’ve selected 7pm, the film could start anywhere between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
Weekly session times are posted on our website every Tuesday, but we will call you to notify you of the exact session time. It is advised to tell people who are buying your tickets to check our website or the newspaper for the exact session time. |
Final payment must be made on the night at least 30 minutes before the screening time, and can be made by cash or credit card (Visa & Mastercard) or cheque. Cheques must be made out to CINEMA NOVA JOINT VENTURE for the correct amount as Cinema Nova can not give cash refunds. On arrival, the organiser must identify themselves to the duty manager.

A registration table for patrons collecting pre-booked tickets on the night is available. You are responsible for staffing the registration table. You may bring an A4 sign to display on the table. No other signage is permitted. Subject to availability, we can also send you fliers for your chosen film

Your booking can also include use of our bar or cinema space for pre or post-film food and drinks (minimum bar spend required). You may provide your own (cold) food (as long as it is not available from the Nova Candy Bar)
Special rates for alcohol and Candy Bar deals are available for groups with prior notice. You cannot sell your own food and beverage. |
If you need to cancel your booking, we require 7 days notice or a cancellation fee will be charged.
If you sell less than 20 tickets, you will no longer be eligible for the group booking discount.
