| Cinema
Nova’s third Page To Picture event involved
a screening of the highly-anticipated post-apocalyptic
drama THE ROAD, followed by a panel discussion.
On-hand to talk about John Hillcoat’s adaptation
of Cormac McCarthy’s prize-winning story were
media personality and writer Marieke Hardy, director
of ‘Blessed’ Ana Kokkinos, The Age’s
Book Editor Jason Steger, author & online artist
Dr Justin Clemens as well as film critic and author
Thomas Caldwell. A very personal book for some on
the panel, all agreed that Hillcoat’s feature
was a brave and captivating take on McCarthy’s
bestseller. |
