Frances (Chloë Grace Moretz) is a sweet, naive restaurant hostess trying to make it on her own in New York City. When she finds an abandoned handbag on the subway, she doesn’t think twice about returning it to its rightful owner. That owner is Greta (Golden Globe winner Isabelle Huppert), an eccentric French piano teacher with a love for classical music and an aching loneliness. Having recently lost her mother, Frances quickly grows closer to widowed Greta and the two become fast friends. But Greta’s maternal charms begins to rapidly dissolve and Frances soon discovers that nothing in Greta’s life is what it seems.
Wildly entertaining, wickedly funny and full of surprise turns, Greta will keep you hooked until the final frame as Moretz and Huppert face off in what could be this generation’s Fatal Attraction.
