Adam Driver is Daniel Jones, lead investigator for the US Senate’s study of the CIA’s Detention and Interrogation Program, in Scott Z. Burns’ (Contagion, The Bourne Ultimatum) film THE REPORT. The Program was found to be brutal and immoral – government-sanctioned torture – and Jones was the man who attempted to blow the whistle.

Facing a powerful government that wouldn’t be cautioned and an unaware people of America, Jones has a near-impossible task. Driver carries this gripping political drama but so too does an ensemble cast – Jon Hamm, Annette Bening, Michael C. Hall and Maura Tierney – and Burns reminds the audience, in a viscerally relevant way, that transparency of government, and power covering up power, are issues that arise regardless of the place, time, or leader.
