You Were Never Really Here
Joe tracks down missing girls for a living. A military veteran clearly traumatised by his experiences and unsuited to other, less violent, avenues of work, Joe is an awkward, inarticulate figure – except when his favoured weapon of a hammer is in his hands. When a job recovering a kidnapped senator’s daughter from a sex trafficking ring starts to spin out of control, the nightmares that live within Joe’s head start to manifest as a conspiracy is uncovered: This may be Joe’s last stand or his awakening.
