Lies We Tell

A subversive take on J.S. Le Fanu's gothic sensation novel, LIES WE TELL shrouds a chilling mystery inside of an Irish period thriller.

Ireland, 1864. When her father suddenly dies, the 18-year-old Maud (Agnes O’Casey) inherits his grand and remote estate, known as Knowl. Left in the sprawling property on her own, and unschooled in the ways of society, she's now vulnerable to those circling in on her inheritance. When Maud's callous and uncaring uncle, Silas (David Wilmot), is unexpectedly revealed as her guardian in her father’s will, he's furious at being denied his share of what's been left behind by his brother. Silas tries to constrain Maud and manipulate her into submission, but as family secrets are uncovered, Maud fights to reclaim her fledgling independence.
