During the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, documentarian John Wilson attends a writing workshop for making Hallmark rom coms. But when he takes the lessons learnt from his class and attempts to pitch, and make, a documentary about concrete, he finds that investors aren’t interested. Instead of giving in, Wilson embarks on a pilgrimage from the celebrity handprints outside LA’s Chinese Theatre to the dome atop Rome’s ancient Pantheon and more.
