Sophy Romvari’s debut feature BLUE HERON is a gentle, touching, and semi-autobiographical coming-of-age about a family in turmoil, and the feelings that linger long after growing up.

In the late 1990s, eight-year-old Sasha (Eylul Guven) and her Hungarian family relocate to a home on Vancouver Island. One of four, Sasha and her siblings try to adjust to their new life, but their fresh start is interrupted by increasingly dangerous behaviour from the eldest son, Jeremy (Edik Beddoes).
