Closed Caption & Audio Described Sessions
A variety of film session times providing AUDIO DESCRIPTION (AD) through custom headphones and CLOSED CAPTIONS (CC) through subtitles (projected onto purpose-made glasses and companion battery pack) play at Cinema Nova. These are available through the link below and tickets can be purchased to these sessions online or at the box office. These are regular sessions however they screen in auditoriums equipped to use the AD and CC technology.
We request that users of the AD and CC facilities allow for 10 minutes prior to the start of the session to acquaint themselves with the technology. Once a ticket has been purchased please proceed to the CANDY BAR and indicate to a staff member you wish to use the AD or CC facilities. A brief personal tutorial will be given by a staff member to the user. Written instructions are also available.
Due to the expense of this technology the user will be required to leave a valid credit card as a deposit with the staff member. Upon the return of the items the credit card will be returned. In the unlikely event the item has been damaged by the user Cinema Nova reserves the right to charge the user for any required repairs.
