Award-winning musician Marlon Williams explores the process of making his first te reo Māori album in MARLON WILLIAMS: TWO WORLDS - NGĀ AO E RUA, a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Williams’ most ambitious project to date.


After a decade of success and fame, Aotearoa born singer Marlon Williams released Te Whare Tīwekaweka in 2025, his first album sung entirely in te reo Māori. Depicting the long and emotionally complicated process of bringing the long-imagined album to life, MARLON WILLIAMS: TWO WORLDS - NGĀ AO E RUA shines a light on the difficulties the singer faced during this challenging process, borh professionally and personally. Weaving together Williams’ different worlds, from international tours, to recording the album, and life in his hometown of Ōhinehou (Lyttelton), the film captures the poignant moments that allowed the album to be released, and Williams to tour it.
