Timothée Chalamet is back on the big screen in Josh Safdie’s ping pong epic MARTY SUPREME, playing Marty Mauser, an up-and-coming table tennis star fighting for a dream no one respects.
In 1950s NYC, young hustler Marty Mauser (Chalamet) believes he has a purpose to become a ping pong superstar. From his humble and hard-fought beginnings in underground wagers, Marty slowly rises the ranks of the New York scene and gets bankrolled to compete in international competitions. But as he strives for a life beyond his wildest dreams, the circumstances he tries to escape continue to follow him, forcing him to brave hell and back in the pursuit of greatness.
With an incredible ensemble including Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler Okonma, Odessa A’zion, Fran Drescher, and Abel Ferrara, Josh Safdie’s debut is set to table tens.
