Roses, The

A reimagining of the 1989 classic The War of the Roses, THE ROSES is a black comedy about the bitterness of divorce, scripted by Australian Tony McNamara (The Favourite, Poor Things) and starring a stellar ensemble cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Andy Samberg, Sunita Mani (A Nice Indian Boy), Ncuti Gatwa (NT Live: The Importance of Being Earnest), and Kate McKinnon.

For picture-perfect couple Ivy (Colman) and Theo (Cumberbatch), life seems to be a dream; both are successful in their careers, are the parents of great kids, and happily married. But beneath the façade of their presumed ideal life, a storm is quietly brewing. When Theo is fired while Ivy’s own endeavours take flight, a tinderbox of fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites as the couple decides to separate. What begins as an acidic fight soon turns to a poisonous all-out war for every possession they collectively own.
