Sirât

Oliver Laxe’s Cannes Jury Prize-winning SIRÂT is a true one-of-a-kind experience, set amongst an intense backdrop of military oppression and desert raves.

Luis (Sergi López – Pan’s Labyrinth) is travelling through Southern Morocco with his son Esteban (newcomer Bruno Núñez Arjona) in search of his daughter, who was last seen at a desert rave five months ago. Moving from festival to festival handing out fliers to other partiers, Luis soon learns of a semi-mythical rave near the border of Mauritania, where he believes his daughter may be. With the help of a group friends headed to the party, the father and son duo embark on a journey into the heart of a forsaken and primal land that forces them onto a tightrope between heaven and hell.

Procuded by Pedro Almodovar (All About My Mother, The Skin I Live In, Parallel Mothers) SIRÂT is an incendiary piece of filmmaking that’s truly unforgettable.
