Empire of the Ants

Director: Bert I. Gordon
Starring: Joan Collins, Robert Lansing, John David Carson
Drums of radio-active waste, dumped in the ocean, wash up on a beach where the contents are eaten by ants. After increasing enormously in size, the ants set about taking over the world by attacking a party of real estate investors. The life and death struggle that follows features lots of running and screaming and some of the most breathtakingly awful special effects ever committed to film. The viewer will not soon forget the spectacle of Joan Collins in beige K-Mart culottes grappling with a giant ant puppet head and moaning lines like “I wish I hadn’t seen Charlie die like that!” A Cinema Fiasco classic, back by popular demand.
