Not long into their marriage, Ashley (Arjona) asks her good-natured husband Carey (Marvin) for a divorce. Instead of accepting the conversation, he runs to his friends Paul (Covino) and Julie (Johnson) for support, who reveal that the secret to their happiness is an open marriage. Shocked but enticed by this knowledge, Carey and Julie sleep together, crossing an invisible line that fractures both couples' relationships and throws everyone's lives into chaos.
