Third Man, The

75TH ANNIVERSARY! In 1949, an American writer of westerns, Holly Martins (Joseph Cotton), arrives in post-war Vienna to visit his old friend Harry Lime (Orson Welles). On arrival, he learns that his friend has been killed in a street accident and when he meets Calloway, chief of the British Military Police in Vienna, he is informed that Lime was in fact a black marketer wanted by the police. Martins decides to prove Harry's innocence, but is Harry really dead?.
Directed by Carol Reed and written by Graham Greene, THE THIRD MAN is considered one of the greatest films of all time and has been fully restored for its 75th anniversary. Oscar winner for Best Cinematography (Black & White), named Best British Film at the BAFTA Awards and winner of the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
