Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere

ADVANCE SCREENING: Wednesday October 22, 6.30pm.
Led by an incredibly committed performance from Jeremy Allen-White (The Bear) and Jeremy Strong (The Apprentice), SPRINGSTEEN: DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE follows the star as he makes his writes and records his most intimate album, Nebraska.
On the cusp of global stardom, a young Bruce Springsteen is struggling to reconcile the ghosts of his past, receding into himself as he tries to define his identity to the world. In an attempt to understand and free himself from the life he grew up in, he begins to work on Nebraska, a smaller, raw, haunted acoustic album made on a four-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom. Incorporating his own experiences with his alcoholic father Douglas (Stephen Graham), the plight of blue-collar workers, and the inability to escape your circumstances, the album is seen as a major departure for a star on his trajectory. But with the support of his long-time confidant and manager Jon Landau (Strong), Springsteen persists, fighting himself to make one of his most personal and enduring albums, which grew to become a landmark of his illustrious career.
From Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Hostiles), SPRINGSTEEN: DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE is a deeply tender portrait of one of America’s greatest musicians.
