Velvet Queen, The

High up on the Tibetan plateau amongst unexplored and inaccessible valleys lies one of the last sanctuaries of the wild world, where rare and undiscovered fauna lives. Vincent Munier, one of the world’s most renowned wildlife photographers, takes adventurer and novelist Sylvain Tesson (In the Forest of Siberia) on a mission to try and photograph a predator thought by many to be extinct; the snow leopard - one of the rarest and most difficult big cats to approach.

Featuring astonishing photography taken in one of the most remote places on Earth, and featuring an evocative score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, THE VELVET QUEEN is easily among one of the finest nature documentaries of recent years. This is a transcendental big-screen experience, not to be missed.
