Darjeeling Limited, The

2007’s THE DARJEELING LIMITED introduced a formidable and electric trio’s worth of Big Sibling Energy in Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman, playing three estranged siblings reuniting in India after the death of their father. Carrying out a “spiritual journey” across the country on a luxury train, Anderson’s film vied for the Golden Lion at Venice and is also notable from screening alongside Natalie Portman-starring short Hotel Chevalier. Both leave the audience with a heady sense of escapism and Anderson’s singular style, with a soundtrack that’s stayed with us for the past 13 years and we’re sure will endure.
