Directed by Sébastien Marnier (“School’s Out”), THE ORIGIN OF EVIL is a wickedly funny French thriller in which shady relatives scheme for family fortunes through a succession of ingenious twists.

In a luxurious seaside villa, Stéphane, a modest young woman finds herself in the company of a strange family: an unknown and wealthy father, his extravagant wife, his daughter, an ambitious woman, a rebellious teenager, and their creepy maid. Soon enough, she finds herself embroiled in devious hidden agendas and between suspicions and lies, a mystery grows and the evil spreads.
