Punch-Drunk Love

Paul Thomas Anderson's 4th feature, PUNCH DRUNK LOVE, is an off-kilter romantic comedy of erratic novelty salesman Barry (Adam Sandler) who lives in the shadow of his seven overbearing sisters. Unlucky in love, an out-of-the-blue introduction to a mysterious woman (Emily Watson) coincides with the fortuitous discovery of a flaw within the conditions of a travel competition which could change Barry's life for the better.

Also starring a career best performance from the late great Philip Seymour Hoffman, PUNCH DRUNK LOVE is unlike anything PTA had, or has since, made.

Winner of Best Director at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
