V For Vendetta and Civil War

The ultimate "that could never happen here" double

V FOR VENDETTA is a visually stunning, thematically rich adaptation written by The Wachowskis. Following the world war, London is a police state occupied by a fascist government, and a vigilante known only as V (Hugo Weaving) uses terrorist tactics to fight the oppressors of the world in which he now lives. When V saves a young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) from the secret police, he discovers an ally in his fight against England's oppressors.

CIVIL WAR stars Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, and Cailee Spaeny as journalists touring through the heart of a war-torn America. In the midst of a civil war, weary photographer Ellie (Dunst) has spent her months capturing the conflict that has consumed her country alongside her colleague Joel (Moura), a reporter. After meeting Jesse (Spaeny), an aspiring photojournalist, the trio embark on a cross-country journey in an attempt to get inside the White House and interview the President, who’s gone into hiding.
