Rosa's Wedding

Winner of the Special Jury Award at the Málaga Spanish Film Festival, ROSA’S WEDDING is a feel-good romantic comedy about one woman taking the wheel of her own life.

Rosa (Candela Peña) is a seamstress on the brink of turning 45 - and is besieged by her demanding family members including her widowed dad, divorced brother, and borderline-alcoholic sister. As well as that, there’s her grown-up daughter….and the numerous favours she does for friends and neighbours. Sick and tired of being taken for granted by others and retreating to her childhood home on the coast of Spain, Rosa decides to surprise her family and get engaged to someone entirely unexpected: herself. Written and directed by Icíar Bollaín, ROSA’S WEDDING is a joyous call of self-empowerment and chockablock full of heart.
