Western Stars

“I’ve spent 35 years trying to learn how to let go of the destructive parts of my character,” says Bruce Springsteen. “We all have our broken pieces”.

In a special one-night only cinematic event that proves The Boss has lost none of his gravity, his new album Western Stars will be marked by the release of a concert film. In lieu of a live tour, Springsteen filmed a show inside a 100-year-old barn, teaming up with director Thom Zimmy (Elvis Presley: The Searcher, The Wire) to co-direct WESTERN STARS.

Coupled with woven in scenes of Bruce’s life, footage of his early days with wife Patti Scialfa, and moving themes of love and loss punctuate his live performances. Diving deep into the trials and successes of the rocker’s life, WESTERN STARS is more than just a concert film: it becomes a love letter to love, an acceptance of our own broken parts, and a vibrant look at a man who has a lot left to say.

WESTERN STARS offers fans the world over their only opportunity to see Springsteen perform all 13 songs on the album, backed up by a band and a full orchestra, under the cathedral ceiling of his historic nearly 100-year-old barn.
