Sci-Fi FF: Dead End Drive-In

Directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith | Australia

From director Brian Trenchard-Smith, The Master of Ozploitation Cinema, comes DEAD END DRIVE-IN, a raucous dystopian action-adventure classic that has grown in cult status around the world since it first bewildered audiences in 1986. In the near future, displaced youths are condemned to shut-in communities such as the DEAD END DRIVE-IN, once a place of silver-screen hopes and dreams but now a brutal gated compound where wild teenagers grow wilder on new wave music, junk food, drugs, exploitation movies and racism. The latest poor souls to be trapped inside are Crabs (Ned Manning) and his girlfriend Carmen (Miss Australia 1989, Natalie McCurry), but thrust into this hellish, decaying world only inspires in them the burning desire to escape.
