H Is for Happiness

Based on Barry Jonsberg’s young adult novel My Life As An Alphabet, award-winning theatre director John Sheedy makes his feature film debut with H IS FOR HAPPINESS, a sweet coming-of-age tale about a young girl, Candice (played by newcomer Daisy Axon), just trying to spread a bit of joy back in her family’s lives. A family in an orbit of unhappiness: her mum (Emma Booth) has been depressed since the death of her baby, and her dad (Richard Roxburgh) and her Uncle Brian aren’t on speaking terms. With the help of her new friend Douglas, Candice hatches some haywire plans in order to bring everyone back together – and her hare-brained schemes may just work. Uplifting, charming and unflinching, Candice and her quest for happiness will warm the cockles of your heart.
