Enter The Void

Gaspar Noe's dream project, ENTER THE VOID, is a fantastical and psychological out-of-body experience set in and above the neon-lit nightclubs of Tokyo.
Oscar (Nathaniel Brown) is a young American living in Japan, working as a drug dealer, while his sister Linda (Paz de la Huerta), who arrived with him, works in a nightclub. The pair live in an apartment together in Tokyo, vowing to stay together in the aftermath of their parents’ accidental death. When Oscar visits a bar called The Void, he realises that he's been set up and betrayed by his best friend, leading to his own death. Instead of withering away, his soul floats above the city observing the repercussions of his death and events from his past, while seeking resurrection.
Shot in the first-person perspective, Noe's psychedelic melodrama is a visual and auditory feast, unlike anything else that's come out before and since.
