Mabel (Piper Curda – May December) is a 19-year-old biology student and dedicated animal lover who longs to spend her life caring for creatures. Understood and supported by her professors Dr. Sam (Kathy Najimy) and Nisha (Aparna Nancherla), Mabel is let in on a secret invention – a new technology that allows people to put their consciousness into the mind of a robotic animal. Looking to learn more about the mysteries of the animal world, Mabel transports herself into a robotic beaver and sets out to discover the wonders of the animal kingdom, which faces a major and imminent human threat.
