Kangaroo Island

The debut film of both director Timothy David and writer Sally Gifford, KANGAROO ISLAND is an Australian dramedy about the ties that bond, and damage, a family.
Lou Wells (Rebecca Breeds) is a struggling actor that’s hit rock bottom trying to make it big in Hollywood. Alongside being broke and aimless, Lou’s still living with her ex and finding herself alienated from her friends, so when her dad, Rory (Erik Thomson) invites her back to their family home in Kangaroo Island, she reluctantly accepts. Believing the trip to be about making amends, Lou finds the reunion complicated when her and Freya (Adelaide Clemens), her sister, learn of their father’s secret, digging up underlying tensions and family trauma.
