MATINEE FILM CLUB: Thursday May 8, 10.30am. Join your host, film critic Jan Epstein, for an advance screening of THE SALT PATH with complimentary morning tea and post-movie chat, plus the chance to win a copy of the memoir on which the film is based.

Based on Raynor Winn's 2018 titular memoir, nature, and travel book, THE SALT PATH is a touching and profound story of love, loss, and hope.

Raynor (Gillian Anderson) and Moth (Jason Issacs) Winn have just become homeless after losing their life savings and farm when a friend's company they've invested in fails and is dissolved. Unsure of what they're going to do, the pair embark on a 1010 kilometre walk along the South West Coast Path, the longest uninterrupted path in England, a trip that changes not only their perspective, but also their entire lives.

An honest and life-affirming true story of the healing power of the natural world, Marianne Elliott's directorial debut premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and garnered praise for the lead performances from both Anderson and Issacs.
