When his estranged mother Elizabeth passes, Jack (Montgomery) travels to New Zealand for the funeral. Although Jack claims her widow Jill (Krieps) invited her, she has no recollection of doing such a thing, but allows him to stay in her and his late mother’s house while he’s on the South Island. As night falls on the property, it becomes clear that Elizabeth’s spirit continues to live in her home, occupying the two bodies as a life-threatening three-way nocturnal dance takes place.
