Wolves Always Come at Night, The

MEET THE FILMMAKER: Wednesday June 18, 6.30pm. Join director Gabrielle Brady for a post film Q&A.
A young nomadic couple, Davaa and Zaya, live in the Mongolian desert with their four children, sheep and horses. Their loving and harmonious lifestyle, guided by ancestral traditions, is threatened by an unpredictable weather event and encroaching animal predators. Forced to make the heartbreaking decision to uproot themselves and move to the city, the family must quickly adjust. In this foreign terrain, they band together, all the while haunted by dreams of their herding past as settle amongst the turmoil of a work life alien to them.
Highlighted by spectacular photography, award-winning Australian filmmaker, Gabrielle Brady (Island of the Hungry Ghosts) has created an urgent and unique docufiction that's both a love letter to a traditional Mongolian way of life and a message about climate change.
