Aftermath, The

James Kent (Testament Of Youth) adapts Rhidian Brook's novel of a British colonel (Jason Clarke) and his wife (Keira Knightley) assigned to live in Hamburg, Germany, during the post-World War II reconstruction. Accomodated in the stately home of an architect (Alexander Skarsgard) and his young daughter, tension between the British and German families turns to empathy and kindness, before giving way to something more dangerous.
