Rocky Horror Picture Show + Phantom Of Paradise

DOUBLE BILL! What’s better than one audacious cult musical? Two audacious cult musicals, of course!

No need to shiver with anticipation, because ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is up first. Blissfully affianced and delightfully dull couple Janet (Susan Sarandon) and Brad (Barry Bostwick) are in for a shock when car trouble lands them in the eerie lair of mad scientist Dr Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry) – just in time for him to reveal his greatest creation, paragon of masculinity, ultimate sex symbol…Rocky Horror. Met with a violently negative reception when it hit screens in 1975, the film has spent the last four decades building up a fervent international cult following and is now the longest-running theatrical release of all time.

The music made him do it! Next up is phantastical rock opera odyssey from Brian De Palma, pre-Carrie and Scarface fame: THE PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE! In this rock opera hybrid of ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Faust’, fledgling singer-songwriter Winslow Leach finds himself double-crossed by the nefarious music producer Swan, who steals both his music and the girl Leach wants to sing it, Phoenix, for the grand opening of his rock palace, The Paradise. Weird, wild, camp, heartfelt and dazzling, this is a fever dream you won’t want to miss.
