Australia’s Celebration of African Cinema Makes its Melbourne debut at Cinema Nova.

Africa Film Fest Australia (AFFA) expands to Melbourne for the first time in 2026, showcasing some of the most acclaimed films from across the African continent and its diaspora. Led by the Melbourne premiere of the award-winning Ghanaian feature THE FISHERMAN, this year’s festival brings together a powerful, joyful, and thought-provoking program of contemporary African cinema from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 March.
