Crash

David Cronenberg's daring CRASH is an unmatched psychological and erotic journey featuring an all-star cast of 1990s talent, including James Spader, Holly Hunter, Deborah Kara Unger, and Elias Koteas.
After a car accident leaves him with serious facial and bodily scarring, TV producer James (Spader) becomes obsessed with the raw sexuality of car-crash victims and vehicles themselves. As this obsession turns to a desire, James discovers an underground sub-culture of scarred, omnisexual car-crash victims who fetishise their accidents, and allows his exploration into the group to rejuvenate his sex life with his wife, Catherine (Unger).
Immediately becoming the focus of outrage upon it's premiere at the Cannes Film Festival (where it was controversially awarded a Special Jury Prize despite Jury President Francis Ford Coppola refusing to participate in it's presentation), various attempts to ban CRASH globally were foiled.
