Hearts and Bones

Ben Lawrence (Ghosthunter) directs screen stalwart Hugo Weaving in the story of two men forming an unlikely bond over shared trauma – HEARTS AND BONES. A war photographer, Daniel (Weaving) returns home, immediately preparing to embark on his next assignment. Haunted by the horrors he’s seen over the past years, Daniel is also looking to the future – to an upcoming retrospective of his photography work. When a South Sudanese refugee, Sebastian (newcomer Andrew Luri) discovers Daniel’s photos of a massacre held in his home village will feature, he approaches him; and after a shocking discovery, a friendship develops between the two men. Compassionately treating two troubled men from two very different worlds, Lawrence’s film is a moving tale of morality, war and, ultimately, hope.
