Layla (Talia Zucker) and her husband Jack (Ashley Zukerman) live on an isolated cattle property hundreds of miles from the nearest neighbour. With their son away at boarding school, Layla pines for the life she once had while Jack spends his days tending to the livestock and experimenting with new biotechnology in their shed. One night, Layla inadvertently triggers a blackout across the property, causing the perimeter fence to lose power. Trying to piece together what happened, they soon learn that something has gotten onto the farm and into the shed. As Layla discovers more about the mysterious presence and Jack’s behaviour becomes increasingly controlling, she uncovers a secret that changes everything, bringing her face to face with the reality of her relationship and their life on the ranch.
