In the flashy city of Hong Kong people look for the glimmer of light that might change their lives. Chak (Louis Cheung) runs a small cleaning company by himself and is hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Business is ongoing despite the restrictions but it isn’t enough for Chak to support both himself and his elderly mother. When his neighbour Candy (Angela Yuen), a young single mother, informs him that she is looking for work, Chak hesitantly takes her on. Despite his reservations, Candy soon helps Chak to get his life back on track.

Directed by Lam Sum, THE NARROW ROAD was nominated for ten Hong Kong Film Awards including Best Film, Director, Screenplay, Actor and Actress.
