Beau Is Afraid

From master auteur Ari Aster (Midsommar, Hereditary) comes the filmmaker’s most unusual and provocative film yet, BEAU IS AFRAID. Beau (Joaquin Phoenix) lives alone, spending his time between the office of his psychiatrist and his disheveled city apartment. When a visit to see his overbearing mother is derailed by a home invasion, Beau begins an epic odyssey that will take him to the outer limits of reality where nothing is what it seems and everything is very, very scary.

Featuring an all-star cast including Amy Ryan, Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Denis Ménochet, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Parker Posey, BEAU IS AFRAID recalls a comedic mind-mash of cinematic surrealists Charlie Kaufman, Darren Aronofsky, David Lynch and Terry Gilliam that needs to be seen to be believed
