Fight Club and Starship Troopers

DOUBLE FEATURE! Two provocative satires, both overlooked at their time of release, which have endured to become timeless cult classics.

An unnamed narrator (Edward Norton) suffering from insomnia, befriends a soap salesman (Brad Pitt) who creates an underground fight club with strict rules before it derails into a criminal group committed to upending social order. We would tell you more about the film, but then we’d be breaking the first rule of FIGHT CLUB.

Set in the 23rd century, STARSHIP TROOPERS has humanity engaged in an intergalactic war against the Arachnids, an endless horde of alien bugs which launched an asteroid which hit Buenos Aires, killing millions. Paul Verhoeven’s (Showgirls) overlooked 1997 sci-fi epic delivered breakout roles for Casper Van Dien and Denise Richards. Panned by critics upon release, it's provocative subtext and merciless creature effects allowed it to become a pillar of 90s cult cinema.
