Le Samourai and Tokyo Drifter

New Wave noir from France and Japan

A classic staple of French noir, LE SAMOURAÏ follows the enigmatic Jef (Alain Delon) after he’s witnessed carrying out a hit on a nightclub owner. Despite being arrested and placed in a suspect line-up, he’s released after not being positively identified, sending him on a path to discovering his employer while the police follow their suspicions.

TOKYO DRIFTER is a stylish and thrilling yakuza ganger noir set within the Japanese countryside. Tetsuya "Phoenix Tetsu" Hondo (Tetsuya Watari) is free of his bloody life after his boss decides to dissolve his criminal empire, leading him to look forward to a peaceful existence away from murder. But after he’s approached by a rival kingpin for a position in his syndicate, which he declines, Tetsu finds himself being trailed by another assassin who wishes to kill him.
