From the co-director of Shin Godzilla comes SHIN ULTRAMAN, a loving homage to the iconic Japanese science fiction series that first debuted in 1966.
Japan is (once again) overrun by 'kaiju' - enormous monster that lay waste to cities and the countryside. With a crack team named the SSSP devoted to the suppression of the creatures , a new beast - Neronga - proves too powerful. When all seems lost, a giant silver extraterrestrial (later dubbed Ultraman) defeats Neronga and disappears as quickly as he arrived to save the day. While seeking to learn whether Ultraman is friend or foe, the SSSP discover world leaders are secretly meeting with an alien force offering technology to eradicate both the kaiju and Ultraman.
