Wicker Man, The: The Final Cut

50th ANNIVERSARY SCREENINGS! Named by critics as the greatest British horror movie of all time, Robin Hardy's THE WICKER MAN returns to the screen in a startling new version considered to be The Final Cut. The inspiration for numerous modern classics including Ari Aster's Midsommar, THE WICKER MAN is a must-see masterpiece.

Puritanical police officer Sergeant Neil Howie (Edward Woodward) arrives in a Scottish village located on an isolated island to search for a girl reported missing. Appalled to discover that the locals have abandoned Christianity in favour of a Celtic paganism, he takes an interest in Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee) whose family developed a strain of fruit trees that caused the locals to embrace the 'new gods' that enabled an unusually bountiful harvest. Convinced that Summerisle and his constituents are covering up the disappearance of the young women, Howie attempts to discover her whereabouts as the village prepares for an annual pagan ritual.
