Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon

For most of her life, Mona Lisa Lee (Jeon Jong-seo) has been institutionalised. But under the influence of a blood moon, she decides to break free by tapping into a supernatural ability to control human minds. Travelling to New Orleans’ French Quarter, she must figure out how to survive in a world she doesn’t understand. Taken under the wing of an exotic dancer with her own agenda (Kate Hudson), Mona Lisa forms a bond with the dancer's frustrated young son while trying to avoid a police officer (Craig Robinson) who is desperate to track her down.

A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night director Ana Lily Amirpour’s MONA LISA AND THE BLOOD MOON explodes onto the screen with bold visual stylings and genre twists. A hostile world, dark humour, odd pairings, superpowers and a killer soundtrack – this thrill ride inspired by 1980s fantasy-adventure movies will have you hypnotised from beginning to end.
